About this event
Demonstration event
This is a fictional event created to demonstrate how a complete GIFFH event page can look. The schedule, venue, programme, and attendance arrangements are illustrative. No workshop has been announced or confirmed by GIFFH through this sample. Do not travel to the venue or treat this page as an invitation.
What the workshop would cover
The sample programme brings together practical household money management and introductory livelihood planning. Participants would work through everyday examples of income, essential expenses, irregular costs, and setting aside money for future needs. The emphasis is on realistic decisions and useful habits rather than promises of income or financial assistance.
Who the session is designed for
The illustrative audience includes adults managing household expenses, young people preparing for independent living, and people exploring a small trading or service activity. No previous business training would be assumed. A real announcement would confirm eligibility, available spaces, and any accessibility arrangements.
Sample programme: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon WAT
The morning would begin with a welcome and discussion of common budgeting challenges. A facilitator would then introduce a simple income-and-expense worksheet. Small groups would practise separating essential costs from optional spending, planning for irregular income, and identifying a manageable savings goal.
Sample programme: 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm WAT
After a short break, the session would move to small-business planning: identifying a customer need, estimating basic costs, keeping simple records, and distinguishing sales from profit. Participants would finish by drafting a short personal action plan and discussing questions with the facilitator.
Materials and participation
A real event could provide printed worksheets and invite participants to bring a notebook and pen. Participants should not be asked to disclose bank details, account balances, or other sensitive personal financial information in a public discussion. Any actual registration process, costs, language support, and access requirements would be explained in an approved announcement.
After the session
The intended follow-up would be a practical worksheet participants can use at home and a reminder to review their plan after a few weeks. Any actual attendance figures, photographs, participant feedback, or results would be added only after the event and with appropriate approval. No outcomes are claimed by this demonstration.
